| St. John's is a part of the Episcopal Diocese of New
York. As such, we are a part of the larger community, the world of the
Anglican Communion. We are aware and involved with local, diocesan and
world programs to benefit and share with others. Here is an example:St.
John’s is a ONE Episcopal congregation that seeks to support and advocate
for the eight Millennium Development Goals as adopted by the United
Nations which range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of
HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date
